Do you really understand water-based coatings?

There are many people ask: Is the paint toxic or not!

I can only answer this question for you, by situation! At present, companies at the forefront of development are for water-based paints, and many paint making manufacturers produce paint products that are water-based, which are basically green products and harmless to human health. Traditional oil-based paints, on the other hand, contain toxic gases, such as xylene (a carcinogen).

Next, we will take you to understand the difference between water-based paint and oil-based paint, and hope to eliminate your doubts.

Difference between water-based and oil-based paints.

1、Composition.

Oil-based paint: a kind of paint with dry oil as the main film-forming material, mainly transparent oil, thick paint, oil mixed paint, oil-based rustproof paint and putty. The oil used is mainly tung oil, linseed oil, oyster oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, fish oil, etc. It has the characteristics of easy to produce, low price, good paintability, flexible film, good air permeability, etc.

Water-based coatings:coatings that use water as solvent or dispersion medium, including water-soluble coatings, water-dilutable coatings, and water-dispersible coatings (emulsion coatings). Water-soluble coatings are film-forming materials of water-soluble resins, except water-soluble alkyd resins, water-soluble epoxy resins and inorganic polymer water-based, also represented by polyvinyl alcohol and its various modified products. Resin is the core material.

2、Environmental protection.

Water-based coatings: use only water as a thinner, which is not harmful to human health.

Oil-based paints: organic solvents are used as diluents and contain harmful substances such as benzene, toluene, xylene and their derivatives.

3、Odor.

Water-based paints:no harmful carcinogenic substances, non-toxic and odorless, and can be quickly detected after painting because there are no toxic gases.

Oil-based paint: contains strong irritating odor. The gas also contains a lot of harmful substances, which is harmful to human health. After one or two months of painting, the strong odor can basically evaporate, but it does not mean that the harmful gases have evaporated. A large amount of harmful gases will be released slowly for about 10 to 15 years.

After a lot of existing data analysis to understand, the market has been gradually replaced by traditional paint water-based coatings, and traditional paint materials can only play a surface protection role, easy to be destroyed. And the new water-based paint can already do: high temperature resistance, anti-corrosion, non-stick, oleophobic hydrophobic, thermal conductivity and other functions.

Application of special nonionic surfactants in concentrated detergents

In concentrated detergent formulations, the technical challenges of formulation stability are often faced due to the gel compartment of most nonionic surfactants and the limited solubility of anionic surfactants. By exploring two special straight-chain alcohol alkoxylates, EcoSense EP2308 and EP2325, in comparison with AEO-9 and isomeric alcohol ethers in concentrated detergents, it was found that

Mask formula manufacturing process conceptualization

As the core category of the skin care market, functionally, the most direct and basic role of the mask is to moisturize and hydrate. In addition, masks also have the role of cleaning the skin and nourishing the skin. In recent years, as consumers’ requirements for skin care products continue to improve, there is also

Multi-Emulsion in cosmetics

Multiple emulsions (W/O/W and O/W/O) are considered to be an ideal cosmetic system that can simultaneously contain multiple active ingredients, is gentle to the skin, and is a dispersion system that is both functional and cosmetic. The unique “three-phase, two-membrane” structure of multiple emulsions makes it possible to simultaneously encapsulate active ingredients of different natures

Cosmetic preservatives

In the cosmetic industry, preservatives are vital additives whose primary function is to limit or prevent the proliferation of microorganisms in a product. The effectiveness of these cosmetic preservatives relies on their reaching the specific concentrations required to inhibit microorganisms and interacting directly with microbial cells. In terms of mechanism of action, preservatives can be
