【Explanation of the name of anti-white water】 Anti-white water plays the role of solvent, especially thinner in spray paint, nitrocellulose and varnish. Adding them in humid or rainy weather can prevent white fogging (moisture in the air adhering to the lacquer) after the topcoat is painted. That’s why they are known as fiber solubilizers in the United States. We call this phenomenon anti-white, so glycol butyl ether is small anti-white water, anti-white water. 【Difference between anti-white water and big anti-white water】 The scientific name of big anti-white water is Diethylene Glycol Butyl Ether (CAS No. 112-34-5), abbreviated as DB. It is a colorless liquid with a slight odor of butanol, which can be miscible with water in any proportion, soluble in ethanol, ether, oil and many other organic solvents. Due to the high boiling point and low evaporation rate, it can be used as a solvent for paints, inks, lacquers, dyes, resins, etc. It can dissolve oils and fats, dyestuffs, resins, nitrocellulose and so on, and it is also used in organic synthesis. It is also used as an intermediate for plasticizers and as a diluent for hydraulic brake fluids, in addition to being used to produce piperonyl butoxide compounds. Daikoubaikou is a dibutyl ether (reaction requires 2 mol of butanol with two ether groups), and Daikoubaikou is a monobutyl ether (reaction requires 1 mol of butanol with one ether group). In addition, DAPL is less hazardous than WHITEWATER in that the former is not listed in the Class VIII Hazardous Chemicals Inventory, while the latter is listed in the Class VIII Hazardous Chemicals Inventory.
